Fall is upon us and with the colder days, brings the increased desire for comfort foods. These types of foods are the ones we gravitate towards to help warm up our bodies and gives us that sense of cozy. Casseroles, stews, pastas and soups, we typically crave heavier and more satisfying dishes.
Detox is such a hot word when it comes to health and wellness. And rightfully so. If I can compare our bodies to a car here for one second (bear with me) I can explain to you why there is such a focus on it and why it’s so crucial.

I know right! Where the heck have I been? It’s been quite a while ( a month or so maybe) since I have written a blog post, so what on earth have I been doing!
Tis’ the season for illness. I am talking, coughs and colds. And this is about the only thing about this season that I don’t enjoy! Give me all the of colorful leaves, the sweater weather, the Christmas cheer, the lights and the coziness that winter brings. But colds. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
