Who doesn’t love pizza? Warm gooey cheese, soft chewy bread, the savoury pepperoni and all the toppings. Are you drooling yet? I am a huge pizza lover. It is almost ALWAYS my go to when I don’t feel much in the mood for cooking. And because of this, I had been looking for a healthier alternative to your traditional bread crust. Thankfully, I found this delicious cauliflower crust recipe! Modified from the Food Network Website (I cant help but make every recipe I use my own!)
There is some time involved in creating this, but I will say to you it is completely worth it! One thing I will emphasize is that you really take the time to press all the moisture out of the cauliflower. It will make it more dry and more likely to crisp up!
Believe it or not, I have not always been a huge cook or baker… in fact, I used to find being in the kitchen to be a chore, and did not really put much effort into the things that I made, only on the very rare occasion. It wasn’t until I became a mom. Funny how I didn’t put a lot of effort into my own foods, yet when it came to ensure that my daughter was getting proper nutrition, balanced meals and wholesome meals, that is when I really started to grow my kitchen experience.
As soon as the cooler weather hits, I cannot get enough of soups and stews. (Mainly because I am always cold. I am currently sitting here typing in big slippers, drinking a hot tea and basking in the hot pack that I heated up purely just to keep me warm… oh and I am preheating my bed with a heating pad.. for real) Fortunately, over these last few years, I have built quite the collection of tried and true recipes that I continue to make over and over again!
