Ever see those people who seem to be killing it, everyday and wish you could do what they do?
A big reason behind why they are so successful day in and day out is because of planning and routine. It’s tough to expect to succeed in crushing your goals and achieving things if you don’t have a plan and are just going through your days all willy nilly. Instead, to be the most productive you can be, by making plans, writing them down and following some of these other steps will help you to be on your game and accomplish what you want to!
You hear me talk a lot about self love and having a healthy lifestyle, and I truly do live and breathe those mantras. I believe in loving yourself and accepting who you are, flaws and all- will help you on the road to the goals you have for yourself.
With the last few days of 2017 upon us (I honestly cannot believe how fast the last few months flew by!) I have been spending a lot of time planning all my goals for 2018, but I have also spent some time reflecting on the goals I have accomplished in 2017.
Before I adopted a healthy lifestyle, I used to spend a lot of time restricting. I felt like restricting myself was the only way I would see the results I wanted and depriving myself would get me there. That was a time before I was equipped with the trust in myself to make the healthy choice, and the trust in my self control to be able to fluctuate and still be committed… before it was a way of living.
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me….Day 1 of the 12k’s of Christmas challenge. For the next 12 days I plan to run 1 km per day. And I want to invite you along with me! If you’re not a runner, you can walk! Or, if you are looking for a way to get into running, starting with one kilometre a day is a great way to build up your endurance.
With Halloween being over, and Christmas already knocking at our door (I am not complaining), I cannot believe that we are rounding into the end of 2017.
It is encouraging me to reflect back to what I had set out to do this year, what my New Years resolutions were, and to see how far I have come. I remember the end of December last year. I was excited to start the new Bikini Body Mommy challenge that was coming out! As an aside, I must say for any new mom who is looking to get back into shape or any mom who wants access to a free program, Brianna Christine’s method and message is so motivating, and most of what she offers is free when you register for her website, which is also free.
With planning to start this journey, I assembled an accountability group consisting of both women around the world doing this program as well as some of my co-workers and friends were going to do it too. I was determined to succeed, see the 90 days through and make 2017 my year.
Flash forward 11 months…I have accomplished so much this year! I have lost a total of 20 pounds, discovered my passion for helping others with their health and fitness goals, enrolled in an online course to get certified to do that, and I started this blog! Now I would say that I have been so successful, however that does not mean that I don’t continue to challenge myself to grow and change and make each day the best that I can.
I want to extend this challenge onto you. We have roughly 2 months left in the year. Two more months of 2017.
Think back to last New Year’s Eve, what were your hopes for the year? What did you want to achieve. If you have a fitness or nutrition goal or are looking to lose weight, you still have time to make some significant changes!
The average recommended weight loss is 2 pounds per week. If you are losing at this rate, not only is it healthy for your body, but you are more likely to be able to keep it off! That being said, if you started a nutrition and fitness plan next week, you could lose 14 pounds by the end of the year! Not only that, but by incorporating more fruits and vegetables, proteins, healthy fats- all in balance with each other, you would be able to drastically change your energy levels, body functioning and the way that you feel overall! Who wouldn’t want to feel better!
If you need some support, and want to make the next 7 weeks of 2017 the best you have this year, please reach out to me! I would love to work with you to finish off the year in health!
What are you going to do to make the next 7 weeks count? I would love to hear it!
This past Saturday I wrapped up my 21 Day Fix challenge that I completed with a couple other women. It was amazing to have people along on the journey and even more exciting to see other people’s results along the way!
The reason that I decided to embark on this challenge again (as I have already done it before) is that I was feeling like I needed a little bit of a reset. Read More
This has been a pretty eventful summer! (Eventful compared to last when I had a baby who was not yet walking and tied us down a little more) Although I am sad that it is coming to an end, I have made a lot of personal growth this summer, as well as we have done some really fun family things.
We all have different comfort levels. That’s the beauty of each individuals uniqueness. Different interest, different tolerances, different goals. Most people have a Bucket list- things they would like to accomplish throughout their lives. Bucket lists can sometimes include some pretty exhilarating things. Skydiving, hot air balloon rides, running a marathon. Some of us have concrete plans of accomplishing these things, and others are held back because of fear. Fear is a negative emotion. It keeps us down, it prevents us from breaking out of our shell, it places limits on what we think we can do. It keeps us small and it keeps us trapped.
