If I Won the Lottery- Current Book Wishlist

The last couple years I have  become a reading junkie. I am ALWAYS reading something and always have my eye out for the next good book to add to my list! Currently, while I am still in school, and needing to do all the readings for that, I am not able to read for leisure as much as I would like to. I look forward to finishing up this certification later this year, so that I can spend more time with my nose in a book.

12k’s of Christmas

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me….Day 1 of the 12k’s of Christmas challenge. For the next 12 days I plan to run 1 km per day. And I want to invite you along with me! If you’re not a runner, you can walk! Or, if you are looking for a way to get into running, starting with one kilometre a day is a great way to build up your endurance.

If you ask my husband- when I get an idea that I am excited about, he will tell you that I need to do it right away. I am generally anticipating it way to much and cannot wait!! Perhaps that is what they call impatience, but when I am so passionate about something I can’t help it! I am one of those people that when I set my mind to something, I go all in. I live it, I breathe it, it is often on my mind and I will happily share with those around me.

Sweat in Style!

Cute workout clothes. That’s a thing, right? It certainly is for me!

I have always had a thing for shopping in general and specifically for nice, cute and fun purchases. When I have an exciting event coming up, I like to buy a new outfit. There is something about wearing something new that gives you confidence, you get excited to attend the event because you get to wear that new shirt or dress…it makes you feel good! This love for clothing has most definitely transferred over to my love for activewear.

At the beginning of this year, when I made the decision to buckle down and focus more on getting fit again, I thought to myself, “I should get a new workout outfit!”. I knew this would encourage me to get moving- because I will be excited to wear my new crops. To some, this may sound like a big case of vanity, and everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but let’s just reference back to what I mentioned before. When you wear something that is new, it gives you a little bit of bounce in your step, you feel better… so perhaps there is a chance you might work harder? Just stay with me here, it really does make a difference.
