Chewy Chocolate Chips Cookies
Believe it or not, I have not always been a huge cook or baker... in fact, I used to find being in the kitchen to be a chore, and did not really put much effort into the things that I made, only on the very rare occasion. It wasn't until I became a mom. Funny how I didn't put a lot of effort into my own foods, yet when it came to ensure that my daughter was getting proper nutrition, balanced meals and wholesome meals, that is when I really started to grow my kitchen experience.I did dabble in baking, but most of my experiences were muffins that turned out pretty flat, and cookies that were almost always too hard to bite. Then once day, the baking fairy visited my house and my baking was never the same!! I love being in the kitchen, trying new things, cooking new dishes and baking new treats! I found this recipe about a year and a half ago and it has become my go to! I often batch cook them and put them in the freezer so that I always have cookies on hand if we have company or we feel like a homemade treat (this is a brilliant idea btw!)So in deciding whether or not to post this here for you I did a poll on my Instagram. I thought you should know that everyone voted for yes, except for one person... my husband! He did not want me to share this recipe with anyone. He wanted to keep it all for himself! So against his approval, here you have it :)I have not made any changes to this recipe except for one. And it's a trick that I learned from one of my best friends. She is insane when it comes to being in the kitchen. The things that she can make often blow my mind and she RARELY has something that doesn't work out. So when she has little tricks that she shares I am more than happy to adopt them!Addition: When you roll the cookies into balls and press them down, right before you put them in the oven, sprinkle some sea salt on them. It makes for salty and sweet unreal cookies! Here is the recipe! And as always, I love when you share and tag me when you use the recipes! I love to see how they turn out :)Hugs and Kisses,
