How many of you scroll through social media and see women crushing their workouts, day after day and it makes you think “I wish I was motivated like they are to workout”? “They make it look so easy”, “I wish I could do that too”. Well, I am here to tell you you can! It’s all in the way you perceive it.This has been something I have really been working on, and I finally feel like I have come to a happy place in my relationship with exercise and working out. I want to share it with you so that you can feel that way too!Why do we workout? It’s no secret about the benefits being active can have on your body:

  • Improves your cardiovascular health
  • Strengthens your bones and muscles
  • Improves your mental health
  • Helps to control your weight

… to name a few. Most of the things I listed here I can almost guarantee are of no surprise to you. So if we know all of this, why is it so hard to get up and get moving, or to make the time to move. Perception.I have spent a lot of time feeling like I needed to workout in order to reach my weight loss goals. I put a lot of focus on working out only. I sometimes dreaded it, and felt like if I did not get a workout in, I was failing somehow, and I would never reach my goals if I missed that one day. I found it hard to always get motivated, I struggled to make the time for it.What changed? I started to see exercises as a great way to keep my body healthy and moving. I started to really notice how I felt after I completed a workout. I felt energized, alive and strong. I started to take notice that if I didn’t workout, or I wasn’t able to workout- how it impacted my mood. I became more aware of all these benefits and when I combined them with the evidence of the positive things working out can do for your overall health; my mind shifted. If you are lucky enough to be able to move your body (not everyone is due to physical limitations and chronic conditions) be grateful for that! Find something that you enjoy that makes you sweat, and do it often. Get your heart pumping and thank the universe that you are able to do it! Changing your perception on exercise, and everything in your life for that matter, will help you to see the beauty in the movement and what it does for us both physically and psychologically. What do you do to get your body moving??WorkoutHugs and Kisses,Andrea Cute Signature
