Happy Canada Day!!
A Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!I am so grateful to have both you and all my followers along with me on this journey to health and wellness. I have officially been writing for this blog for a year- and I cannot believe how fast it has gone. One year ago, starting this wellness blog was just an idea I had to help motivate other women around me live the best version of themselves. Now, a year later, it has transformed into me getting my Holistic Nutrition and Health coach certification and creating a business where I work with other moms. Moms who are feeling exhausted after trying everything to get healthy and lose weight, but still not feeling like they are where they would like to be. Moms who desperately want to not feel tired anymore, not feel like a slave to counting every calorie in order to make change, and moms who are done with feeling guilty- both in what they are eating as well as guilty for actually taking the time for themselves, to make the changes they want to make. So thanks for being on this journey with me!I love holidays! Spending time with your family, making memories, having a few drinks ( I am sipping on a spiced rum and diet right now;) ) and just relax and rejuvenate.Locally, there are always a ton of different festive celebrations! We spent the afternoon at a park across the street from my moms place! It was perfect! They had a fair set up there with carnival rides and games for the kids. Clara had never been on rides before. And being the cautious little girl that she is, she was a little nervous at first going on the car track, but once she realized that it wasn't so scary, she went on quite a few others! She went on the big super slide with her daddy and her Uncle Rich, she rode the spinning strawberries, went in the FunHouse with Gramma and played a fishing game to win a Parrot! We were able to walk there which was awesome and we did not have to worry about parking. We are still in a heatwave (44 degrees C) so it was nice to be a short walk away so we could head back when we were getting too hot. We then spent time hanging out inside, just playing and watching the game. The best part of the whole day was our front row view of the fire works! My mom lives on the top floor of her building and the balcony faces the park. We had the best seat! We didn't have to fight the crowds, and we could sit comfortably for the show. This particular fire works display was called musical fireworks which meant there was tunes that corresponded with them, so random but so cool!Canada Day always feels like the kick off of the summer, and I was happy to be able to spend the weekend with family and friends that I love! The kinds of weekend that fills up my cup and brings be happiness! What did you do this long weekend?Hugs and Kisses,
